Up here on the 4th floor of the Vaishnavi Cynosure building, things stay pretty busy. We are right near the Gachibowli flyover, so if you look out the window, you just see a constant stream of cars and bikes zooming past. It’s a bit of a contrast to the quiet focus we try to keep inside the office. We deal with cement and building boards, so even though we are in a modern glass building, we still have that industrial feel in our bones. Sometimes the lift takes forever to arrive, especially around lunch, so some of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too many files. We have desks cluttered with project blueprints and sample pieces of bison panel. It isn't a silent office; there is always someone on the phone arguing about a delivery schedule or checking on a shipment. We've been part of this Hyderabad landscape for years, watching the flyovers go up while we supply the materials for other projects. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we mostly know what each other is thinking without saying much. We don't have a lot of corporate jargon in our meetings. We just talk about numbers, tons, and how to get things where they need to go. It’s practical work. When the sun goes down over Gachibowli, we usually finish up and head into that same traffic we’ve been watching all day.
