Nandita Garments

Nandita Garments is tucked away in Indiramma Nagar, right near the Pochamma Temple in Rasoolpura. If you know the area, you know it gets quite crowded, especially on festival days when people are visiting the temple. Our shop at 1-38-2758 is just a regular place where we sell clothes. Most mornings start with dusting the racks because the Secunderabad roads bring in a lot of dust. We have a lot of different things piled up, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a person is looking for. It isn't a fancy showroom with big lights or anything like that. It is just me and a couple of others helping out. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and the people who walk by. Usually, the afternoons are a bit slower, so that is when we try to organize the stock that came in from the suppliers. Sometimes the sizes are marked wrong or the colors aren't exactly what we expected, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's a lot of standing around and folding fabric over and over again. We have been in this part of Secunderabad for a good while now, so most people around here know us by face. We don't really do much advertising; people just see the sign when they are heading toward the temple or going home. It’s a simple life running a garment shop.
