Nagesh Tailoring Garment Unit

I set up this tailoring unit at Plot No. 11, which is H. No. 3-39 in Kapila Nagar. It’s a busy little place with several sewing machines going at once. You can hear the whirring of the motors from the street. There are rolls of fabric stacked up against the walls and scraps of thread all over the floor. I usually spend most of my day sitting at my own machine or checking the work of the others. We do a lot of garment work here, mostly for people in the local area. It gets very hectic when there is a wedding or a festival coming up because everyone wants their clothes finished at the same time. Sometimes we have to work late under the tube lights to get everything done. The shop isn't very organized, to be honest. There are needles pinned to cushions everywhere and chalk marks on the cutting tables. We use old-fashioned scissors that are heavy and sharp. The building itself is quite plain and we don't have a big sign out front, but people find us anyway. Kapila Nagar is a decent place to work from. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, but mostly we are just looking down at the fabric. It’s hard on the eyes after a few hours, but this is the trade I know. We just keep sewing and try to stay on top of the orders.
