Laxmi Modern Rice Mill Industry

We operate out of B 7b in the Industrial Estate. Laxmi Modern Rice Mill Industry has been around for some time, and the machines have seen a lot of grain. Working in a rice mill means you’re always dealing with dust and the smell of raw rice, which isn’t bad once you get used to it. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a plain industrial shed, but inside it’s quite active. We spend our mornings checking the equipment and making sure the loaders are ready. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags and keeping the mill running smoothly. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of being in an industrial area. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our customers are people who have known us for years. We just try to get the rice processed and out the door so people can have it on their tables. It's a simple life. We have a small office in the corner where we keep the ledgers. It’s a bit noisy when the machines are at full speed, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. But we like the noise because it means we’re busy and the work is getting done. We don't worry about corporate polish, just keeping the grain moving and the mill humming.
