Mk Book Depot And Distributors is up on the first floor at Shop No 3 on Edi Bazar Road. We have been in the Edi Bazar area for quite a while now. The stairs up to the shop are a bit narrow and we are always hauling boxes of books up and down them. It is quite a workout every time a new shipment arrives. Inside the shop, there are books stacked everywhere. Sometimes it feels like we are running out of shelf space because more titles keep coming in. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the right books go to the right people. It is a bit of a dusty job sometimes but we don't mind it much. People come in looking for specific things and we have to go hunting through the stacks to find them. The street outside is usually very noisy with all the traffic on Edi Bazar Road, but it is a bit quieter once you get inside. We deal with a lot of different distributors and try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always look that way. Our shop isn't very large so we have to be smart about where we put everything. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. Most of our days are just spent among the pages and the boxes. If you're walking along the road just look for the sign for the first floor. It is a simple life selling books.
