Eka Publishers

We are a small publishing group based out of Madinaguda. It’s not the center of the literary world, but it’s where we feel at home. Our office is a modest space, usually overflowing with manuscripts, proofs, and stacks of books waiting to be sent out. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy or a fancy board of directors. It’s just a few of us who really care about getting things printed and out into the world. We spend a lot of our time reading and re-reading texts, which can be a bit tiring for the eyes, but it’s what we do. Madinaguda is a decent area with a lot of regular people, and that suits us just fine. We don't go for big, flashy book launches or expensive ad campaigns. We just try to find interesting things to publish and hope that people will find them. Sometimes the printer breaks down or a shipment gets delayed, and we have to scramble to fix it ourselves. It’s a bit of a messy process, and our desks are never clean, but we know where every piece of paper is. We don't try to sound like a major publishing house because we aren't. We’re just local people who like books and want to keep making them. It’s a slow and quiet way to make a living, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
