Raju Pickles

Raju Pickles is located over in Matrusri Nagar, Miyapur. If you are taking the metro, we are right near Sikanderpur Metro Pillar No. 53 or 54. You can usually tell you are close by the smell of spices and oil. We started making pickles because it’s something we’ve always done at home. Eventually, it just turned into a business. It isn't a big factory with assembly lines. It is more of a large kitchen where we spend our days chopping vegetables and mixing them with salt and spices. We have jars everywhere. Some are curing in the sun, and others are ready to be packed and sent out. We don't have a marketing department or fancy labels designed by an agency. We just put the pickles in jars and sell them to people who like the taste. Our menu depends on what is in season, like mangoes or lemons. We use the recipes we grew up with, nothing too experimental. The shop is small, and sometimes it’s a bit messy with empty crates or bags of chili powder. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the time of day. We don't make any big claims about being the most famous or anything like that. We just make pickles the way we know how and hope people find them tasty enough to come back for another jar.
