Maqbool Mechanical & Turning Works

We are located at 5-3-806, right by the Topkhana Masjid in the Gosha Mahal area. Our shop is where we do all the mechanical and turning works, so you will always hear the sound of the machines running. It is a bit noisy and there are metal shavings on the floor most of the time, but that is the nature of the work. We have been in Gosha Mahal for quite a long time and the mosque nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. The work involves a lot of time with the lathes and other tools we use. We are not a fancy office; it is a workshop through and through. There are usually a couple of us working on different parts, turning metal and fixing things up. The smell of oil and cut metal is pretty strong, but we do not even notice it anymore. People bring in all sorts of broken pieces for us to look at. We do not have any big mission statements, we just take the work as it comes and try to get it done properly. The street outside can be a bit tight, but it is a lively neighborhood. We open up early and stay until the jobs are finished for the day. It is a steady way to make a living and we like the hands-on aspect of what we do.
