About Manasa Flour Mill – Food & Beverages in Hyderabad
We run the mill at 3-5-24/K/290 in the Kailasagiri part of Hb Colony, Moula Ali. If you walk near our place, you can usually hear the hum of the motors before you see the door. There is always a thin layer of white flour dust on almost every surface, including our clothes. It’s a noisy place to work, but we are used to it by now. People from the colony bring their grain in bags and wait while we process it. We spend the day lifting heavy sacks and making sure the grinders are set right. It’s physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the day. The sun shines right into the front of the shop in the afternoons, making it pretty hot inside. We have a small wooden stool where we sit when there is a short break between customers. We don't have a website or any fancy ordering system. You just show up with your stuff and we take care of it then and there. It’s been this way for years. We know the families around Moula Ali because we see them every month when they need their flour. The machines need a lot of cleaning and oiling to keep them from jamming up. It’s a basic life, but it’s how we make our living here in Kailasagiri. We don't need much more than our tools and the steady stream of locals.
