Being right here in the Prasads IMAX multiplex is an experience. If you’ve ever been to Necklace Road on a Saturday night, you know what I mean. The whole place smells like popcorn and there’s music blasting from the movie posters nearby. Our shop is on the ground floor, tucked in between a few other stalls. We see a lot of people who are just killing time before their movie starts. They walk in, look at a couple of shirts, and maybe buy something if the price looks right. It’s mostly casual stuff, things you’d wear to hang out with friends or go for a walk by the lake. Because of where we are, it never really stays quiet for long. You get groups of college students laughing and trying on hats or looking at the latest prints. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming with the crowds coming out of a blockbuster film. We don't have a lot of space, so things can get a bit cramped if more than five people come in at once. The floor gets a lot of footprints from the rainy weather outside, but we try to keep it decent. It’s a fun spot to work in, though, because there’s always something happening. You see the whole of Hyderabad passing by our windows. We just keep the racks moving and hope the AC stays on during the summer.
