Sai Sagar Food Industries

We are located at Plot 72 in Sai Baba Colony. Sai Sagar Food Industries is a small operation, mostly just a few of us working in a space that used to be much emptier than it is now. We make different food products right here on-site. The machines for sealing the bags make a constant clicking sound that you eventually stop hearing after a few hours. Because we are in a colony, we try to keep things relatively quiet, but industrial food prep always makes some noise. We spend a lot of time sourcing the ingredients and making sure everything is fresh when it comes in the door. It’s not a high-tech facility with robots or anything like that. It’s mostly just people doing the work by hand—sorting, measuring, and packing. Sometimes the smells from the kitchen are so strong you can smell them three houses down. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we keep the books, but mostly we are out on the floor. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make stuff that people actually want to eat and keep the business running. Most of the people working here live just a few blocks away, so it’s a very local vibe. We just show up, do the work, and hope people like the food. It is simple work but it keeps us very busy.
