Khizar Cements

Our place is over in the Gazia-E-Millat Colony area of Chandryangutta. The address is 2-14-2/4, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren’t from around here. We deal with cement and construction materials. It’s a heavy job, lots of lifting and moving bags around. The colony is usually quite lively, and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We keep our stock under cover to protect it from the rain. During the busy season, we have trucks coming in and out all day long. The dust is just part of the environment when you work with cement. We have a small desk where we keep the receipts and handle the cash, but mostly we are outside or in the storage area. People from the local construction sites come by often. We’ve gotten to know many of the contractors in the area over the years. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. Just the bags stacked up and a few chairs for when we take a break. The summers are the toughest because the heat really radiates off the concrete, but we just keep going. It’s a necessary trade, and we’re glad to be part of the community here in Chandryangutta. We stay open until the sun goes down, sometimes a bit later if a delivery is late.
