Jaya Food Industries

Jaya Food Industries is tucked away on the second floor of the Old CIB Quarters. The address is 6 1 326/A/20, which can be a little tricky to find if you aren't looking closely at the building numbers. We have been operating from this space for a while, mostly focusing on food processing and getting items ready for the market. It’s not a huge factory, just a few rooms where we have our equipment set up. The stairs going up to the second floor are a bit narrow, so moving heavy sacks of ingredients can be a real workout for us every morning. We keep things pretty quiet and just focus on the daily production schedule. There’s always a smell of spices or flour in the air depending on what we are making that day. It is mostly family working here, so we don't have many outside employees. We don't have a storefront for people to walk in and buy stuff, we mostly just pack things up and send them out to the shops. The lighting in the old quarters isn't the best, but we've added our own lamps to see what we are doing. It’s a steady job and we like the routine of it. We just make sure the machines are clean and the batches come out okay. That is basically our whole day from start to finish.
