Kewal Ram Ahir

My name is Kewal Ram Ahir and I run my business from Tirumala Nagar. If you know the Ambedkar Ground, we are right behind it. It’s a good landmark for people who are trying to find the place for the first time. I’ve been working from this spot for quite some time now. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the city center. I handle most of the daily tasks myself, though sometimes I get a bit of help when things get really packed. Tirumala Nagar is a nice neighborhood and I like being part of the community here. The work involves a lot of manual effort and staying on top of small details. Some days are long, starting early in the morning and finishing well after the sun goes down. I don't really have a big team or a marketing person. I just talk to people who come by. It’s an honest way to make a living, I think. Sometimes the equipment acts up or the materials don't arrive on time, which can be frustrating. But you learn to deal with those things over the years. I just try to be fair and do what I said I would do. It’s not a complicated philosophy, just how I was taught to work. If you’re ever near the ground, you can see where I work. I usually have the doors open and you'll find me there most days of the week.
