Karimnager As A Lecturer

I am based out in Tekumatla village, which is part of the Jaipur Mandal in Adilabad. My setup is quite simple, really. I stay at K. Gopa Raju’s place and do my teaching work from there. Being a lecturer in this part of Andhra Pradesh means you have to be ready for anything. The students come from the nearby villages and they are usually very keen to learn, even if the resources are not always the best. I spend a lot of my time preparing notes and reading through textbooks to make sure I have the facts right. The house is a bit quiet, which is good for studying. I don't have a big staff or a fancy college building to go to every day. It is more about the personal connection with the learners here. We talk about the subjects under the shade sometimes when the weather is nice. Adilabad can get very hot, so we have to plan our sessions around the sun. My life revolves around the books and the progress of the students. It is a humble way to earn a living, but I like the quiet of the village compared to the big cities. People here know me as the teacher who stays at Gopa Raju’s. I try to help anyone who wants to improve their knowledge. It is a long way from the big universities, but the learning is real. I hope to stay here for a long time.
