Kamala Nehru Polytechnic For Women has been part of the Nampally landscape for a very long time. We are situated right in the Exhibition Grounds on M J Road. It’s an interesting spot because the area changes so much when the big exhibitions are on, but we are here year-round. The building itself has that old, sturdy feel to it. We have different departments for the various technical courses we offer. It is a place where women from all over the city come to learn practical skills. It isn't a modern, sleek campus with a lot of glass; it’s more about the labs, the workshops, and the classrooms where the actual learning happens. You can often hear the hum of machines or the chatter of students in the hallways. We keep things pretty straightforward here. The staff has been around for ages, and we all know the layout like the back of our hands. Sometimes the corridors are a bit dim and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the work gets done. We focus on the curriculum and making sure the students get their lab hours in. It’s a busy, practical environment. Being near the Exhibition Grounds means there's always a bit of noise from the main road, but once you’re inside, everyone is just focused on their studies. We’ve seen many batches of students come and go through these gates over the decades. We just keep our heads down and continue teaching.
