Kalanjali Art & Crafts

Our shop, Kalanjali Art & Crafts, is located at 5-10-194 on Hill Fort Road in Saifabad. It is a busy part of the city with all the government buildings and people rushing around. We have been in this spot for a long time, and the building has its own quirks, like the way the floor creaks in certain places. Inside, we have packed in as many art pieces and local crafts as we can. It is not always perfectly lined up, and sometimes you have to move one thing to see another, but that is how we like it. We spend our days chatting with people who wander in off the street. Some are just looking to escape the sun for a bit, and others are actually searching for something specific for their homes. We get new stock every now and then, and unpacking it all is always a bit of a chore with all the cardboard and tape. We don’t have a big team or a marketing department. It is just a few of us who know where everything is kept. The light coming through the front windows is nice in the morning, but it gets a bit dim in the back where we store the bigger items. We have a few old fans that keep the air moving during the humid days. It is a steady, quiet kind of business. We just enjoy being surrounded by all these different things and meeting the people who come through.
