Jyothi Ladies Tailors

I run Jyothi Ladies Tailors from my house in Indira Nagar Colony. The address is H No 12-1-1119/42/1 in North Lalaguda, Secunderabad. It’s the same place where we live every day. I have my sewing machines set up in the front room so I can see people when they come in. I’ve been stitching clothes for the women in this colony for a lot of years now. I learned how to sew from my mother when I was just a young girl. I don't have a big boutique like the ones in the mall. It’s just me and one other lady who helps when there are too many orders to finish. During wedding season or festivals, it gets very crowded in the room with all the fabric and thread everywhere. I try to get things done on time but sometimes it’s hard when the power goes out. I do blouses, dresses, and simple alterations mostly. People bring their own cloth and tell me what they want. I write it all down in a small notebook I keep on the table. I don't use any fancy apps or computers for this. Secunderabad is getting very busy these days but our little corner in North Lalaguda is still friendly. Customers sit and chat while I take their measurements. It’s a simple business. I like working from home because I can look after my kids too. That is how we have always managed things here in this house.
