Jibannagar Primary School

You can find us over in Mehdipatnam, specifically on the first floor of Shazore Residency. Being in the St Anns College Lane means there are always students walking back and forth outside. It is a very lively area of Hyderabad. Our primary school occupies a few rooms here. We have painted some of the walls to make it look a bit more cheerful for the younger children. There are stacks of notebooks on the desks and boxes of chalk in the cupboards. We start quite early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. The stairs leading up to the first floor see a lot of foot traffic every day. We try to keep the place tidy, but with primary school kids, there is usually a bit of a mess by lunchtime. We have a small area where the kids keep their bags and water bottles. It isn't a huge space, but we make the most of it for the classes. Sometimes we move the desks around to give more floor space for activities. The teachers here mostly live nearby, so we know the local shops and the shortcuts around the lane. It feels like a neighborhood spot. We spend our time checking homework and helping the little ones with their reading. It’s a busy place with plenty of chatter throughout the day. We just focus on the daily routine and keeping everything in order. The bell marks the end of our day at three.
