Vaishnavi Industries

Our workshop at Vaishnavi Industries is at Plot No. 271 and 272. We are in the Svcie area of Subhash Nagar. It is quite easy to find if you know where the Ganesh Kanta is. The industrial noise of Jeedimetla is something you get used to after a week. We have a lot of space here, spread across the two plots. The floors are concrete and always have some grease on them from the equipment. We start our shift when the sun is barely up. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved in what we do. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we sit together in the small break area. We have a couple of old desks for the admin work but most of the action happens on the main floor. The trucks wait outside in the lane to load up. It can get very hot inside during the summer months, so we keep the big shutters open for some air. Sometimes the grease stains don't come off our hands for days. We focus on the jobs at hand and try to stay on schedule. The locality is full of other factories just like ours. We have seen the area change over the years as more sheds were built. It is a tough environment but we like the routine of it. We keep our tools sorted but things always seem to wander off when you need them most. Usually, the day ends with a quick cleanup of the workspace.
