J & J Engineering Works

It’s just us here at J & J Engineering Works. We’ve been running things out of Mig-41 in the Apiic Colony for a good while now. Being in the I.D.A. Jeedimetla area means it is always noisy and there is always something moving around outside. It isn't a fancy setup. We have our machines and our tools and that is mostly what you will see if you walk in. The morning starts early when we roll up the shutters. You can hear the other shops doing the same thing all down the street. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork unless we really have to. Most of the day is spent on the floor getting grease on our hands and making sure the parts are right. Jeedimetla is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the dust, but we are used to it by now. We know the neighbors and the tea guy who comes around at ten. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. It’s just the workshop and the space we need to move the metal around. People come by when they need something fixed or made, and we just get to it. There isn't much to say other than we show up every day and do the work that needs doing. It’s a simple living and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
