Ips International

Ips International is right on the Main Road in Jahanuma, at House No 19-3-528/3. Being in this part of Hyderabad means there’s a lot of noise from the street outside. Cars honking and people walking by are just part of the background here. The school building is a tall structure that makes the most of the space we have in this crowded area. Inside, the stairs are narrow and we have to tell the kids not to run all the time. The teachers share a small space for their breaks, usually talking about the day’s lessons over some tea. It’s not a polished corporate environment. It’s more of a local school where we know the names of the kids and their siblings. The office is always full of ledgers and attendance sheets. We deal with the heat of the city by keeping the fans on high, which makes a constant humming sound in the rooms. Sometimes we have issues with the plumbing or the lights, but we get someone from the neighborhood to come and fix it quickly. It’s a practical way of running things. Students come from all around Jahanuma, walking through the busy lanes to get to the gate. We open up early and close once the last student has been picked up. It’s a long day, but it’s what we do here on the main road.
