Institute For Electronic Govarnence

Over in Warangal, specifically out in the Marrikunta Thanda area of Gunnepally, is where we handle things for the Institute For Electronic Govarnence. This location is run through Devender Bhukya’s place. It’s a bit of a drive out here, past the main parts of Narsimhulapet, but it’s a good spot for reaching people in the smaller villages. We deal with a lot of digital work related to how the local government functions. It sounds complicated, but mostly it is just helping people get their paperwork done on computers instead of waiting in long lines at the main offices. The building is part of a family setup, so it feels very much like a home. There are goats and chickens outside sometimes, and you can hear the sounds of the village all day. Inside, we have our computers and internet connection, which can be a bit slow when the weather is bad. We aren’t a big city office with glass walls. We are just a few people sitting in a room trying to make sure the electronic side of things works for the community here in Andhra Pradesh. People walk in with their ID cards and questions, and we do what we can to help them navigate the systems. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. The road to get here is mostly dirt and stones, so it can be a bit bumpy after the rain. We have a small porch where we sit sometimes to talk to neighbors and friends from the area.
