Being tucked away in Teachers Colony in Tirumalaghery makes for a pretty quiet workday most of the time. Plot No:95 isn't hard to find if you know the area, but sometimes delivery drivers get a bit turned around near the local school. Iec India is basically just a few rooms where we handle our daily business. It’s not like those huge corporate offices with hundreds of people running around in suits. We have desks that have been here for years and some old filing cabinets that squeak when you open the bottom drawer. Most of our time is spent on the phone or looking at technical specs for the stuff we supply to our customers. The fans hum overhead all day because the Hyderabad heat gets into the walls and stays there. We usually bring lunch from home and eat together in the small back area where it's a bit cooler. You hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like kids playing or someone selling vegetables on a cart outside. It doesn't feel like a big industrial operation, but we get the work done. Sometimes a client comes by to talk about a project, and we sit on the plastic chairs and just go over the details without much fuss. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name so people know they’re at the right house. It’s a simple setup, and we like that it’s not too hectic. We try to finish up and lock the doors before the evening traffic gets bad.
