Stand Alone Concrete Products is located at Plot No 341 in the Subashnagar area of Ida Jeedimetla. If you come by, you’ll see that everything is covered in a thin layer of gray dust. That is just part of working with concrete every day. We spend our mornings mixing cement and pouring it into various molds. It is heavy, physical work that keeps everyone busy. We have a large yard where we stack the finished products so they can cure in the sun. The weather in Jeedimetla can be quite harsh, so we have to watch the sky. If it looks like rain, we have to scramble to cover the fresh concrete with plastic sheets. It is a bit of a race sometimes. The sound of the mixers is the background noise of our lives. It is a simple operation. We make the blocks, we let them dry, and we move them out. There are no fancy bells or whistles here. Just hard work and a lot of heavy lifting under the hot sun.
