The office for Icfai University Press is tucked away in Saroornagar, right near the old Pochamma Temple. If you are looking for us, we are at 11-6-79/5, which is actually part of Mr. S. Srinivas’s place. It’s a busy spot in Hyderabad but quiet enough to get the actual work done. Most days here are spent dealing with manuscripts and making sure the printing schedules don't fall apart. It is not some fancy corporate tower with glass walls. It is more like a regular house where we keep the books and handle the distribution. The temple nearby gets quite crowded on certain days, which makes parking a bit of a headache, but we have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. Inside, there are mostly just desks piled high with papers and a couple of computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or emailing back and forth with different departments. Hyderabad heat can be pretty rough in the afternoons, so the fans are always going full blast. People often drop by just to ask directions because of the temple, but usually, it’s just our small team working through the latest academic journals or textbooks. It isn’t glamorous, but the work is steady. We’ve been at this address for a while now and everyone in this part of Saroornagar knows where the press is. It’s just a practical setup for getting things published and sent out.
