Our Hdfc spot is over at Bhel Rcpuram in Hyderabad. It is a bit far from the main city center, nestled near the big industrial township area. Living and working around here has a specific feel to it. The roads are wide and there are a lot of trees compared to the more crowded parts of Hyderabad. We have a small office space that we have used for quite some time now. It’s not a shiny glass building or anything. It’s just a solid, functional place where we spend our eight hours. The canteen nearby is where we get most of our lunch, and the food is actually pretty good. We don’t have a lot of walk-in customers compared to the city branches, so it stays relatively quiet. That suits us just fine because we can focus on our tasks without too much noise. The staff here is small, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We usually catch the bus or ride our bikes into work. During the monsoon, the area gets very green, which is nice to look at from our window. We don't do much in terms of advertising or big signs. People in the BHEL area know where we are if they need us. It’s a very steady, no-frills kind of existence. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home to our families. It is simple enough for us.
