Gussies Garments

Gussies Garments is on the first floor of the building at 16-2-147-64/1 in Anand Nagar. We are right there in Professor Colony. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when we take a break. The space is filled with the hum of machines from morning until evening. It’s a lively environment, but it can get quite busy when we have a deadline. We have a good group of people working here in Anand Nagar. Most of us have been in the garment trade for years, so we know our way around a sewing machine. The workshop isn't anything special to look at. It has white walls and plenty of power outlets for all the equipment. We keep the fabric organized as best as we can, though it tends to spill over when we get new shipments. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just sew clothes and try to do a decent job of it. Professor Colony is a nice area to work in, and we feel like we are a small part of the local community. Sometimes people drop by just to say hello or ask about what we are making. We just keep our doors open and keep working. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day.
