Down in Secunderabad, we have our office in Sai Nagar Colony within Alwal. We are at Maruthi Residency, flat S 4 16 73. It is more of a residential building, so it doesn't feel like a typical government office at first. We share the space with the usual sounds of a neighborhood, like children playing or people coming home from the shops. Our work for the Govt Of India happens in a few rooms that we have converted into work areas. It is tight, but we manage to fit all our files and equipment in. The walls are a bit plain, and we have some old calendars hanging up to keep track of the dates. It is a very practical setup. We don't have a lot of visitors here, mostly just us doing our daily tasks. The stairs are a bit narrow, so moving furniture in was a real chore. We like the location because it is peaceful compared to the main city center. There is a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk during the break. The electricity can be a bit spotty during the summer months, but we just work around it. It is an honest place to work where no one is putting on an act. We just focus on the clerical side of things and try to stay on top of the paperwork that comes through. It’s a quiet life here, but we keep busy enough with the entries.
