Global Hospitalals

Down at 6 1 712 Laxmi Nagar in Khairatabad, you will find Global Hospitalals. It’s an older part of Hyderabad and the building has its own character. We have been operating here for a while, and the neighborhood knows us well. The spelling of the name is a bit different, but we just roll with it. The halls are narrow and the rooms are filled with equipment and beds. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We spend our time checking on patients, filling out forms, and talking to families. There is always a bit of noise from the street outside, but we are used to it by now. The morning shift usually starts early with a lot of cleaning and organizing. We don't have any of those shiny glass walls you see in new hospitals. It’s just brick and mortar and people trying to do their jobs. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch to the backup, which is always a bit of a scramble. The staff is like a small family because we see each other more than our own kin. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the cases we have. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady. We just try to make sure everyone is taken care of before we head home for the day.
