Gemni Engineers

You have to go up to the third floor of Kingston Palace to find us. We are right across from Sindhu Bhavan on P.G. Road. It’s a busy building with a lot of different offices, so the elevator is usually slow. Our space is mostly full of blueprints, tools, and computer screens. We do engineering work, which means a lot of sitting around and figuring out how things should be built. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do. The office is a bit cluttered with samples and old projects that we never quite threw away. We don’t have a big corporate feel here. It’s just a small team of us working through the technical details. Sometimes we have to go out to the sites to see how things are going, so the office might be empty for a few hours. We drink a lot of tea and talk through the problems until we find a solution. The furniture is nothing special and the carpets are a bit worn out from all the foot traffic. We don't care much for how the place looks as long as the work is right. People usually call us when they have a technical issue they can't solve themselves. We just try to be practical and give them an answer that actually works in the real world. It takes a lot of patience to get the drawings right, but we just stick with it until the job is done.
