We operate Gemini Tv out of a space near Ksuribabu Tailor in Hyderabad. It is a bit of a strange address since it lists Uttar Pradesh and the 500004 pin code, but that is where we are. The office itself is pretty small and we spend most of our time dealing with local news and video bits. You can hear the hum of the tailor's machines through the wall while we are editing or taking calls. It is not a big media house with fancy sets and bright lights. It is just a few of us working with cameras and computers in a cramped room. We often have to move piles of fabric just to get to our desks in the morning. Being located where we are means we see a lot of people from the neighborhood every day. We get our stories from the streets around here. It is a very local operation and we do not have much in the way of a budget for anything fancy. We use what we have and try to put out something that people might want to watch. Sometimes the equipment gets temperamental because of the dust, but we manage to fix it and keep going. It is a lot of long hours and not much glamour, but it is what we do. We have been here for years and we have become a part of the daily life on this street.
