Gautham High School

We've been here at 3-8-210 for quite some time now. Road No: 5 in Chandrapuri Colony stays pretty busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to Central Bank Colony. You know how L. B. Nagar gets with all the traffic and people moving about. Our building isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we show up every day to do our jobs. Sometimes the bells are too loud, but that’s just how it is in a school. Most of us live nearby, so we walk or take a quick rickshaw to get in. It’s a tight space but we make it work. The neighbors know us well by now. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the bank every single day. It feels like a small village inside a big city. We don't have a giant playground, but the kids find corners to play in. It gets dusty in the summer, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the desks. The staff room is small and usually smells like someone's lunch. We just keep going, year after year. It's not a corporate office with shiny floors. It's just Gautham High School. People ask us why we stay in this old spot in L. B. Nagar, and we just say it's because this is where we belong. We know the shopkeepers on the corner and which days the trash pickup is late. It’s just life here.
