Monika Enterprises

Monika Enterprises is based at Plot No. 33 in the Aleap Industrial Estate. This part of Gajularamaram in the Quthbullapur area is always buzzing with activity. There are small factories and workshops all around us, so the sound of metal and machinery is something we hear from morning till night. Our unit isn't the biggest on the block, but we use every inch of the space we have. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or scraps from whatever we are working on at the moment. We have a small office section partitioned off with some plywood, where we keep the bills and the computer. It’s often hot inside the shed, so we keep the big shutters open to let the air circulate. We aren't some polished corporate entity; we are just a bunch of people in work clothes getting things made. Most of our time is spent talking to suppliers or making sure the orders are packed correctly for the trucks. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out the next morning. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break to sit on the plastic chairs outside. It’s a gritty, busy environment, but that is just how an industrial estate works. We’ve been at Plot 33 for a while and know most of the other owners nearby who are doing the same thing.
