Fiitjee

Our office is in the Sahara Manzil Building, right on the street at 5-9-14/B. It’s a very busy part of Saifabad because we’re directly opposite the Secretariat. You see a lot of official cars and people in suits walking around all the time. The Amrutha Castle Hotel is right beside us, which is a big, fancy building that looks like a fortress. Our building is a bit more modest in comparison. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and it’s a very recognizable address for anyone who knows Hyderabad. The rooms inside are plain and set up for work. There’s a lot of activity in the hallways since there are other businesses in Sahara Manzil too. Sometimes the elevator takes a while, so most of us just end up using the stairs if we’re only going up a floor or two. The windows look out onto the main road, so it’s never quiet. You get used to the city sounds after a week or two. We have a simple routine here. We come in, get the lights on, and start the day. There isn't any fancy lounge or anything like that. Just a kitchen area where we keep the kettle for tea. It's a solid, central place to be, and it keeps us right in the heart of everything happening in the city.
