Fatima Fashion

We are located at 45-1-21 in Falaknuma. It’s a place called Fatima Fashion. If you know the area, you know it’s got its own pace. We mostly spend our days surrounded by different fabrics and threads. There is always a lot to do, and the space is often filled with the sound of work going on. It’s not a quiet place. We have scraps of cloth on the floor and measuring tapes draped over chairs. It’s a bit messy but that’s how we work. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s more of a practical spot where things actually get made. People from the neighborhood come by quite a bit. Sometimes they want something specific and other times they just want to see what we are working on. We have been here for a while and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But we are too busy to worry about that right now. The morning light is the best time to see the colors of the materials clearly. By the afternoon, we have the lights on and it gets quite warm inside. We usually have a small radio playing in the background to keep things lively. It’s just how we run things here. No big speeches or fancy promises, just people working with their hands every day until it’s time to lock up and go home.
