Fashion Designer

Our shop is over in Erramnanzial Colony, specifically at I.C.263 on Road Number 1 in Banjara Hills. Hyderabad is a busy place, and this area is no exception. We’ve been at this address for a while, and if you know where the main road is, we aren't hard to find. It’s just a normal spot called Fashion Designer where a few of us sit and work on garments all day long. The room is usually filled with the sound of scissors cutting through cloth and people talking over the radio. We have a lot of different fabrics piled up in the corners, and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for everything we want to do. The neighborhood is pretty lively, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just a handful of people who know how to handle a needle and thread. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of colorful cloth by the time we close up for the night. We just try to get the orders done on time and make sure everything looks decent. It's practical work, really. Nothing too fancy, just a local business trying to keep up with the daily rush in Hyderabad. We’ve got our routine down, and it works for us.
