Ernst Young Pvt Ltd is in room 205 of the Ashoka Bhoopal Chambers on SP Road in Begumpet, Secunderabad 500003. This is a proper commercial building, so it feels a bit different from our other locations that are in apartments. The building is quite old and has a lot of different businesses inside, from lawyers to small trading firms. Our office on the second floor is a bit of a trek if the lift is busy, which it often is during the morning rush. Inside 205, the space is divided into a few smaller sections by wooden partitions. It’s not a very big office, but we’ve made the most of the square footage we have. The windows look out onto SP Road, so we see the flyover and all the traffic heading towards Secunderabad station. It can get quite noisy, but we’ve mostly tuned it out by now. The carpets are a bit thin in places and the furniture is definitely not brand new, but everything is sturdy and works fine. We have a small water cooler near the entrance and a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. Being on SP Road is very convenient for getting around the city, even if the traffic is a nightmare during peak hours. It’s a very business-like environment but in a very old-school, practical way. No bells and whistles here, just a solid place to work every day. We usually have a radio playing softly in the background.
