Environmentalist

Our place is tucked away near JNTU in Kukatpally, over at Pallavinilayam, 126 A Addagutta. It’s more of a home-grown setup than a big corporate office. Being an environmentalist around here means we spend a lot of time out and about, but this is where we keep our notes and meet up. Hyderabad is growing so fast, especially this side near the university, so there is always something to look at or worry about regarding the local surroundings. We don't have a big staff at all. It's just a few of us who care about the local environment. The office is pretty simple, just some chairs and a lot of papers stacked on the tables. We don't really have a big sign out front or anything. Most neighbors just know us as the people who work on environmental stuff. We stay busy with various local issues and try to keep things grounded. It’s not about being famous or making a big name. We just do the work because it needs doing. Sometimes the traffic in Kukatpally makes it hard to get around for meetings, but we manage. We’ve been at this address for a good while now and it feels like home. It’s a practical space for us. We drink a lot of tea and talk about what needs to happen next in the neighborhood. It’s honest work and we really like being part of the community here. We just keep at it day by day.
