My father, P. Krishna Rao, always taught me about hard work, and that is how I run this electronics shop in Yerragondapalem. My name is Gandhi Pattipati, and you can find us over in Saibabanagar. It’s a quiet enough area in the Prakasam district, but we stay busy with all the folks coming in from the surrounding villages. We handle all sorts of electronics stuff here. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a local business where we know most of our customers by name. Sometimes people just stop by to ask a simple question about their TV or a motor that stopped working. We try to give them a straight answer without any fuss. The shop is packed with parts and tools, so it might look a bit messy to an outsider, but I know where everything is kept. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. Living and working in Andhra Pradesh means dealing with the heat, so we keep a fan going and just get on with the repairs. It’s simple work, but it’s important to the people who live around here. We don't spend money on fancy signs or radio ads. We just rely on doing a decent job so people come back when they have another problem. It’s a small shop, but it serves the purpose for everyone in Saibabanagar. We are usually here from morning until the sun goes down and it's time to go home.
