Disha Food Products

We are located at Plot No 104 A on Road No 12 in Ida Mallapur. It’s a busy industrial area, but inside our doors, things are all about the food we make. At Disha Food Products, the day starts very early, usually before the sun is even up, so we can get the machines cleaned and ready. We deal with various ingredients, so there’s often a cloud of flour or the scent of spices in the air. The floor is tiled and we spend a lot of time scrubbing it down because when you work with food, you can’t have a mess lying around. We have big stainless steel vats and packing machines that take up most of the space. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once, and we have to talk pretty loud to hear each other. We are just a small crew of local people who know how to get the bags filled and sealed. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the batches come out the same way every time. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves, which is just part of life here. We take breaks together in the small corner we have for tea. It’s a simple routine, but it keeps us busy from Monday through Saturday.
