Our place is in Shop number one, tucked inside the Bata Showroom Lane in Ameerpet. If you know this part of Hyderabad, you know how hectic it can get. Most people find us by looking for Vasan Eye Care first. The lane is narrow, and you have to watch out for scooters passing by. Inside, the walls are a plain shade of cream, and the floor is just regular tile. We mop it every day before the first people arrive. The noise from the main road is always there, especially the bus horns. We have a tiny room in the back for our stuff and to eat lunch. The desks are long and made of wood, and we can fit a few people at each one. It gets pretty hot during the summer, so the ceiling fans are always on the highest setting. There is a small tea shop just around the corner where we usually go during the afternoon break. It’s not a polished or corporate kind of place. It’s just a simple room in a busy part of town where we do our thing. We have a small board where we pin up some schedules and notices. The light isn't the best in the back, but we manage. It’s a very typical Ameerpet setup, nothing more and nothing less. We just open up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. Most of the time it’s just the sound of pens on paper.
