This is the Department Of Business Management A V P G Centre here in Hyderabad. We aren't in a big campus building right now; we’re actually in Flat No 102, B Block of the High Rise Apartments in Kavadiguda. It’s a bit different working out of an apartment, but it works for us. You get to know the neighbors and the security guards. Since we are in Hyderabad, things are always moving fast. We deal with business management studies and all the admin that comes with it. The apartment is filled with books and papers and the sound of students or faculty talking. It’s not that polished corporate environment you might expect, but we prefer it this way. It feels more real. Kavadiguda is a busy area, so there’s always noise from the street, but once you’re inside B Block, it’s alright. We spend our days managing schedules and helping with the PG centre’s needs. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we take the stairs to the first floor. We don't have a big reception desk or anything. You just come to the door of 102 and we’re there. It’s a practical way to run a department without all the extra fuss. We just focus on the management side of things and making sure everyone has what they need for their classes or research every single day. It keeps us quite busy.
