Our space is actually in a flat, number 501 to be exact. It’s in the Sai Ram Krupa building in Bagh Amberpet. It’s a bit different than a huge office tower, but it works for what we do at Deloitte Tax Services India Ltd. Amberpet is a residential kind of area, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center. We’ve set up our computers and files in the rooms there. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, especially during tax season. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea. Most of us live nearby so the commute isn't too bad. The address 500020 is easy to remember for our mail. We don't have a lobby with a receptionist. You just come up to the fifth floor. It’s a very local way of doing business. We spend the hours looking at tax codes and helping out with various filings. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up and we have to take the stairs. It keeps us moving I guess. We aren't focused on being flashy. We just need a quiet place to think and work. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops. It’s a nice change from the high-pressure atmosphere of the big business districts. It feels more like a home office than a corporate site. We like it that way. No one is rushing us to be anything other than ourselves.
