In the middle of the Subhash Nagar area in Hyderabad, we have our small office for Data Patterns India Pvt Ltd. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of traffic and the sound of horns outside our window. We aren't in one of those huge tech parks you see in Gachibowli; we are tucked away in a more local neighborhood. The office is pretty basic with rows of desks and people focused on their screens all day. We do a lot of data work that requires us to be very careful with details. It’s not a place for lounging around, but we do have our small pantry where we make coffee and talk about the latest cricket scores. The building is an older one, so the lift is a bit cranky sometimes, and we just end up taking the stairs. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do because it's mostly just steady, repetitive work that needs to be done right. The light inside is a bit harsh from the tubes on the ceiling, but it helps us see the small print on the documents. We have a mix of younger staff and some who have been here for years. We just show up, do the entries, and go home through the Hyderabad evening rush. It’s a standard, practical operation without any of the fancy perks you hear about in the big news.
