Connect Travels

Connect Travels is located at 21-3/1, right across from the Sri Bakery in the Temple Alwal area. Being near the bakery is helpful because the smell of fresh bread usually fills the air in the mornings. Alwal is a busy neighborhood and we’ve been a part of it for several years. The office is small and a bit crowded with stacks of papers and old calendars. It’s not the most modern place you will ever see. We have a couple of plastic chairs for people to wait in while we check on their travel arrangements. Sometimes the temple bells next door are quite loud, but it’s a nice sound to work to. We don't have any corporate bosses or big rules. It’s just a few of us here making sure people get where they need to go. The computer we use is a bit slow and makes a humming noise, but it gets the job done eventually. We don't spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. Most of our customers are just neighbors who walk in after doing their shopping or visiting the temple. It’s a very local way of doing things. We stay open until late most evenings because that is when people have time to come by. There is no polish here, just honest work and some regular conversation while we figure out the tickets and the routes.
