We are up on the second floor of Chandra Complex. It’s a busy building with a lot of stairs, and usually, there is a bit of a crowd near the entrance. Inside our space, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the fans of the computers running. We have a few desks pushed together and some old monitors stacked in the corner that we haven’t gotten around to moving yet. People come up here when they have trouble with their systems or when they need something specific for their small businesses. It gets a little cramped when more than three people visit at once, but we make do with the chairs we have. The view from the window is just the street below and some wires, but it’s central enough that most people can find us without calling for directions ten times. We spend a lot of time looking at screens, sometimes late into the evening when a project is due or a server is acting up. It isn’t a high-rise glass office with a coffee machine, just a regular workplace where we get through our daily tasks. We take our tea breaks downstairs at the little stall near the gate. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we all just sit there waiting for it to come back so we can finish the day’s work and go home.
