Our setup is over at Plot No 9 44 on Street No 3 in Hmt Nagar. This part of Hyderabad is where we do our work for the Centre For Celleular And Molecular Biology. It sounds like a very technical place, and I guess it is, but the office itself is pretty plain. Chandra Shekar P handles a lot of the day-to-day things here. We spend our time looking at small things—really small things—and trying to make sense of them. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it's mostly labs and workspaces. We have a lot of equipment that needs to be kept clean, which is a constant job. Hmt Nagar is a familiar neighborhood for us, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street. There’s a lot of coming and going, especially when deliveries arrive. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people find us because they need specific research or testing done. The staff here is mostly scientists who would rather be at a microscope than writing an "about us" page. We eat lunch together when we can, usually talking about the latest results or just complaining about the traffic in Hyderabad. It’s a hard-working environment, but we keep it casual. No one is trying to impress anyone with big words. We just focus on the cells and the molecules and getting the data right.
