Being based in Hyderabad means we are right in the middle of a very lively city. Canadian Management Consultants is just a small part of the hustle here. We don't have a giant office with a view, but we have what we need to stay busy. The weather here can get really hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans and the air conditioning stay running. It’s a pretty basic environment. There are stacks of papers on most desks and a calendar on the wall that we forget to flip sometimes. We aren't trying to impress anyone with expensive furniture or modern art. It’s just a place where we come to work every morning. Most of us have been in Hyderabad for years, so we’re used to the pace of the city. We grab some biryani for lunch when someone has a birthday, but usually, it's just tea and biscuits. The office feels lived-in, like a place where real work actually happens. We talk a lot about the traffic on the way in, which is pretty much the standard conversation starter here. There is always someone coming or going, and the phone rings more often than not. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the piles of folders get a little high. It’s a simple operation, run by people who just want to get through their to-do lists before heading home to their families at the end of the day.
