Our shop is tucked away in Prem Vijay Nagar Colony, over in Mirjalguda. It’s been at this same spot, Dr.No. 10-115, for quite some time now. Malkajgiri is a busy area with lots of noise and dust, but it’s home for us. We do various engineering jobs, mostly fixing things or making small parts when someone needs them for their own projects. It isn’t a high-tech lab or anything like that. Just a lot of tools, some old machines, and a bit of grease on the floor. Most of the guys here have been working with their hands since they were kids. We take on whatever work comes through the door, whether it's a small repair for a neighbor or something a bit bigger for a local contractor who needs a quick fix. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, or a machine breaks down and we spend the whole day fixing our own gear instead of the customers'. That’s just part of the trade. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly just sit on plastic chairs out front when we take a tea break in the afternoon. People know us around here because we’ve been in the colony so long. We don't do much advertising. Usually, someone just tells a friend to come by if they have a mechanical problem. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
